I created "The Dream Job Made Real Sessions" when I realised that so many senior professional women who had just been offered their dream job positions, were experiencing the pressures of finding their feet in their new role, building strong positive relationships with colleagues and managers, while trying to preserve their work-life balance, personal responsibilities and passions.
These amazing, highly skilled and experienced women (who were often in Senior Leadership positions) would approach new roles with every desire to balance everything, often setting great intentions, but lacking objective support to help work through the emotional roller coaster involved with the pressure of balancing and managing everything, while trying to maintain their reputation as the person who can solve all the problems, lead the agenda and teams, and live up to the role description!
It's often underestimated how crucial the first few months in a new position are; The foundations that are laid, the boundaries that are set and the habits that are implemented, all make the difference between whether the position becomes the dream job in reality - or not. It's difficult to get the right support at this monumental new chapter in your life but I’ve developed hugely successful tools and techniques in regards to this, and I've found the solution! .....
Once we are clear on the things that are super important to you, both at work and personally ....
Due to your new found confidence in your abilities and purpose, you'll feel able to showcase the true authentic you to your new colleagues, partners and managers so that you start the role feeling proud to represent and introduce your values, beliefs and processes.
When building relationships and settling into the role, you will feel able to take a more objective view of the environment, able to make sense of the range of personalities, culture and internal systems as you start to notice more about the organisation.
With greater self-awareness you'll know how to pursue your ambitions for the role, feeling confident to make decisions that are 'on brand', meaning that you avoid having to compromise your integrity and learn to trust in your instincts.
While planting strong foundations to grow, excel and develop in the role, you'll be embedding healthy routines that keep you calm, focused, positive, motivated and energised both at home and work.
Finally you will have the peace of mind of knowing that you're not having to manage everything alone, that you have someone by your side with your ultimate best interests at heart, able to hold and make sense of what you're experiencing and encouraging you to step into the true authentic and powerful version of yourself ..... The person who can manage anything and achieve their full potential, creating an enviable work-life balance that culminates in a dream job scenario in the here and now!
Since starting my career as an Employment Advisor, I learnt very early that I had a knack for 'thinking like an employer' while having an ability to tap into individual strengths, achievements, attributes and the psyche to help individuals realise how unique, special and amazing they are.
The process of bridging talent, passion and ambition with what employers are seeking in candidates at application, interview and in the workplace, is what made me listen to my calling and paint my path to career happiness by becoming an Employment Coach, Interview Specialist and Cheerleader for all things confidence, empowerment and ambition!
To date I have supported so many wonderful, talented and highly skilled women into next level dream job roles using my unique blend of coaching and specialist techniques that have had me featured on the radio and on the TV.
Having worked at a strategical level in a range of sectors including; The NHS, Local Authority and Charity Sector (to name a few) managing regional recruitment, setting up services and interventions benefiting hundreds of vulnerable people, navigating the internal hierarchy of Exec teams and Boards (while being often the youngest and visibly 'different' to the majority), I have accumulated a special blend of perspective and insight that my clients really value.
I live by some key principles that are reflected within all of the tools and techniques that I coach;
